It will cover the history and development of these two ubiquitous firearms and provide much needed information on each This class is designed for a shooter who has recently purchased this style rifle and would like to know the basics of use. This class is a prerequisite for our Carbine Fundamental courses.

Carbine Fundamentals

This course is the second class in a series that will help you learn basic model technique using an AR15 or AK47/74 carbine for close-quarters personal protection both inside and outside the home. This is a 5-hour course and includes classroom work, hands-on dry practice, and live-fire drills. This course will help you become thoroughly familiar with your carbine and your capabilities with it.
Class Prerequisites:
- Completed Introduction to Carbine or instructor exception

- Tactical shooting positions
- Reloading techniques
- Malfunctions clearances
- Live-fire drills such as controlled pairs, close-quarters speed drills, multiple target engagements
Equipment Required:
- Carbine with two point sling
- Three 20 or 30-round magazines
- Dual rifle magazine pouch or carrier
- Knee pads (optional but highly recommended)
- Closed-toe shoes or boots
- 250 rounds of ammunition
- Eye and ear protection

Practical Carbine

Building on the previous two courses, this class will dive into much more advanced techniques and include the use of your tactical pistol skills for low-light encounters. The class duration is 5-hours and includes classroom work, hands-on dry practice, and live-fire drills. Pistols are optional.
Class Prerequisites:
- Must have completed Carbine Fundamentals and Defensive Shooting Fundamentals 2 (if using a pistol)

- Up to 200 rounds of rifle and 50 rounds of pistol ammunition

Intro to Precision Rifle

Marksmanship at great distances has always been the ultimate firearms challenge. Factors such as wind, ambient temperature, barrel harmonics and even the rotation and curvature of the earth must be taken into consideration. This level of complexity can seem vexing. But C2-Tactical has the answer. The Introduction to Precision Rifle class is an in-door class deigned to get you prepared for greater distances – from 100 to 1000 yards.
What will you learn?
This three-hour course is designed to provide the information and skills needed to properly select and set up your rifle for long distance challenges.
Class Prerequisites:
- Proper attitude and willingness to participate
This course is a pre-requisite for out outdoor Precision Rifle Class
Equipment Required:
- Rifle (We suggest you bring your own as rentals are limited)
- Scope
- 20 rounds of range ammo (.22 – .50cal)
- Supporting kit – sand socks, shooting mat, spotting scope or binoculars (recommended, but not mandatory)
- Eye and ear protection
1 hours class time, 1 hour set up & dry practice, 1 hour range time

- Scope Eye Relief & Leveling – Fitting your optics to you

- Rifle Zero – Mandatory to make sure you can hit your target at a distance
- Scope & Reticle Basics – Making sure that you understand your scope and reticle
- Shooter / Spotter Interaction – In the real world, first shot hots are rare. Your spotter helps you get on target quickly when employing follow-up shots
- Rifle Data Book / D.O.P.E. Book – This will become the manual of your personal rifle

Precision Long Range Rifle 1

Long-range rifle shooting is about precision engagement of small or distant targets that challenge the limits of your equipment, ammunition, and your own capabilities. This is the first of a three-part course in long-range shooting. This first course focuses on rifle and scope operations, ballistics, and firing from the prone position. Students will zero or confirm zero, shoot groups and drills at 100 yards. Students will then fire from a long-range platform wit hover two dozen steel targets from 100 to over 1,000 yards. Students will learn to use a provided Rifle Data (D.O.P.E.) book and will establish or re-confirm their D.O.P.E. out to at least 500 yards.

Precision Long Range Rifle 2

This second phase will review all the skills from Precision Long Range Rifle 1. In addition, students will focus more on using both hold-overs and dial ups, calling wind, and spotting shots. Students will begin training in alternate positions and multiple target engagements. Students will establish or re-confirm their D.O.P.E. out to at least 750 yards.

Precision Long Range Rifle 3

This course is the third phase and will review all the skill from Precision Long Range Rifle 1 & 2. Additionally, students will use both dial ups and holdovers, and will leanr when to use each technique. Students will continue to develop wind and shot calling skills. Students will continue to train in alternate positions and multiple target engagements and will perform coordinated fire/call for fire drills involving multiple shooters and multiple targets. Students will establish or re-confirm their D.O.P.E. out to 1,000 yards.

This is an Intermediate level carbine course. This course is designed for students who desire to evolve their skills in a practical, outdoor shooting environment. The modern technique, as applied to the carbine. Learn to manage your environment from arm’s length to 100 yards and beyond. Our “no ego” approach to instruction encourages you to advance your knowledge, skills, and attitude to a higher level. This class will conclude with a series of Task, Conditions, and Skill required to pass the course.

Advanced Carbine Operation

This is an advance level carbine course. This course is for those who will not settle for less than being a master with carbine. Pressure will enhance your previously learned skills as well as add advanced firearms handling techniques. You will devote more time to advancing your skills and creating more economy of motion and efficiency using advanced manipulations, short reaction times, and quick transitions to your shooting platform. By adding pressure to the shooter’s environment this course will allow students to evaluate their proficiency and build a more productive platform for their success.
You will shoot from unconventional, but effective positions. After successful completion of this course, you’ll be able to quickly and accurately engage multiple targets, transition from primary to secondary weapons, move and effectively utilize cover, shoot from unconventional positions, be exposed to close quarters shooting applications, and firing under stress. The class will conclude with a series of Task, Conditions, and Skills required to pass the course.
