Introduction to Tactical Rifles

The course focuses on the basics of the military platformed rifles, however, we welcome any tactical rifle. We learn the history, theory of operation, and basic use. This class is designed for a shooter who has recently purchased a military-style rifle and would like to know the basics of use. This class is a prerequisite for the Tactical Carbine courses.

Rifle 200
Tactical Carbine 1

This course is the first class in a series that will help you learn basic tactical skills using a military carbine for close-quarters personal protection both inside and outside the home. The class is a 5 hour course and includes classroom work, hands-on dry-fire practice, and live-fire drills.
Class Prerequisites:
- Completed Introduction to Rifles or instructor exception
Focus Areas:
- Safety
- Tactical shooting positions
- Reloading techniques
- Malfunctions clearances
- Live-fire drills such as controlled pairs, close-quarters speed drills, multiple target engagements
Equipment Required:
- Rifle with Tactical sling
- Three 20 or 30-round magazines
- Dual rifle magazine pouch or carrier
- Knee pads (optional but highly recommended)
- Closed-toe shoes or boots
- 500 rounds of ammunition
- Eye and ear protection

Rifle 300
Tactical Carbine 2

The Carbine 2 course follows the Carbine 1 course and builds on those skills. In addition to some review, the Carbine 2 course will dive into much more advanced techniques and include the use of your tactical pistol skills for low light encounters. The class is a 5 hour course and includes classroom work, hands-on practice, and drills. Pistols are not required.
Class Prerequisites:
- Must have completed Rifle 200 and Pistol 500 if using your pistol

- Rifle with a tactical sling and weapon-mounted light (carbine)

- Pistol with strong side holster that does not collapse (optional)
- 500 rounds of rifle and 50 rounds of pistol ammunition

Long-range rifle shooting is about precision engagement of small or distant targets that challenge the limits of your equipment, ammunition, and your own capabilities while under time and/or field pressures. This is the first, of a two-part class around long-range shooting. This course will focus on the equipment and steps that will lead you to successful long-range shooting.

- Completed Introduction to Rifles or Instructor exception

- Ammunition, Optics, Ranging targets
- Calibers
- Ancillary gear

Precision Rifle 2

Precision Rifle 3

This course is for those looking to push their capabilities as well as their rifles. R1000 builds on the fundamentals of long-range marksmanship learned in R500 and R600 to engage targets out to 1000 yards. These skills apply to competitive shooting, hunting or just ringing steel at long range. In this course, you will be challenged by the instructor and the course of fire that will give you the comprehensive skills and knowledge to put first round hits on target.

This is an Intermediate level carbine course. This course is designed for students who desire to evolve their skills in a practical, outdoor shooting environment. Advanced Carbine Operation

This is an advance level carbine course. This course is for those who will not settle for less than being a master with carbine. Pressure will enhance your previously learned skills as well as add advanced firearms handling techniques. You will devote more time to advancing your skills and creating more economy of motion and efficiency using advanced manipulations, short reaction times, and quick transitions to your shooting platform. By adding pressure to the shooter’s environment this course will allow students to evaluate their proficiency and build a more productive platform for their success.
You will shoot from unconventional, but effective positions. After successful completion of this course, you’ll be able to quickly and accurately engage multiple targets, transition from primary to secondary weapons, move and effectively utilize cover, shoot from unconventional positions, be exposed to close quarters shooting applications, and firing under stress. The class will conclude with a series of Task, Conditions, and Skills required to pass the course.
